EDU-SYRIA Project is saddened to hear about the passing away of its student Abdel Moneim Al-Hariri, May his soul rest in peace. We at EDU-Syria send our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. The 24-year-old Syrian student was studying Journalism and Mass Communication at Zarqa University. Like many Syrians, he was forced to leave Syria in 2012 because of the war and went to Egypt. “EDU-JORDAN” project  in collaboration with National Aid Fund, Takyat Um Ali, Aman Fund and Zakat Fund, happily announces the availability of 21 scholarships in the German Jordanian University, 62 scholarships in the Jordan University of Science & Technology for Jordanians seeking to pursue a master’s degree for the First semester 2018/2019. On Monday 30 July 2018, EDU-SYRIA participated in the Jordanian Universities Exhibition at Al-Azraq camp organized by RELIFE International, featuring a number of Public and private universities and educational institutions in Jordan, to answer all questions Tawjihi students might have to be fully prepared to start their higher education journey.  EDU-SYRIA representatives introduced the visitors to the Scholarship Programme, answered their queries about the admission, and distributed brochures about the programme.    

EDU-SYRIA Takes Part in the Jordanian Universities Exhibition in Al-Za’atari Camp

On Tuesday 24th July 2018, EDU-SYRIA participated in the Second Jordanian Universities Exhibition in Al-Za’tari camp organized by RELIFE International, featuring a number of Public and private universities and educational institutions in Jordan. The exhibition was to interact with secondary school students and parents and introduce them to the Jordanian Universities, their Schools and their requirements. EDU-SYRIA representatives introduced the visitors to the Scholarship Programme, answered their queries about the admission, and distributed brochures about the programme. The callers of the exhibition went back home with a clear picture of the unique educational opportunities offered by EDU-SYRIA scholarship.    

EDU-SYRIA held the fifth Management meeting

Amman. On July 19th, 2018, EDU-SYRIA team held the fifth Quarterly Management meeting at German Jordanian University (GJU), to discuss the Programmes’ progress, the financial status, academic aspects, and other different issues in the programme. In attendance, as members of the management team, were the EDU-SYRIA Coordinators in Partner institutes, along with the Attaché/Programme Manager Education and Youth of the EU Delegation to Jordan Mr. Job Arts, and Ms. Maria Rosa Vettoretto from EU Regional Trust Fund, ‘Madad’. In addition, a student representative from each university attended the meeting. On June 19th 2018, EDU-SYRIA team took part in an event hosted by the EU in Brussels entitled “Europe’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis: delivering effective aid in partnership with the region” to address successes and challenges in the delivery of help to people affected by the crisis and to explore ways to better include them when designing and implementing aid programmes. The EU HRVP Federica Mogherini attends EDU-SYRIA Graduation Ceremony

Amman, Jordan. On Sunday 10 June 2018, The High Representative/Vice-President of the EU. Federica Mogherini, visited the German Jordanian University to attend the recognition of achievement ceremony of the second batch of EDU-SYRIA graduates. The HR/VP visit was accompanied by the EU Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Matteo Fontana,  the German Ambassador Birgitta Siefker-Eberle, the representative of Ministry of Higher Education and the German Jordanian University president Prof. Manar Fayyad. Today 145 Jordanian and Syrian students participated in the graduation ceremony of EDU-SYRIA. They represent different study levels on higher vocational, bachelor and master degree.
