A friendly match between EDU-SYRIA students at Zarqa University (ZU) and ZU faculty team was held on Thursday 19/9/2019 in Amman. The game is part of the program policy that encourages extra-curricular activities such as sports or talents. The match brought with it the spirit of competition, joy, and enthusiasm, and the ZU faculty team won the match with a 6 – 4 goals victory against EDU-SYRIA students’ team. 55 EDU-SYRIA Students graduated from Zarqa University

On Thursday, 22.08.2019, Zarqa University celebrated the graduation of the 22nd cohort for the second semester 2019/2018, under the patronage of the President of the University Board of Trustees. The 55 EDU-SYRIA students who were among the graduates, started their studies on 2016/2107.

Zarqa, Jordan, On Thursday 23 May 2019, EDU-Syria Project organized an Iftar banquet for 250 students affiliated with the Program. The Iftar banquet took place at Zarqa University in the presence of the German Jordanian University President Prof. Manar Fayyad, and representatives of the EU Delegation to Jordan. The Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors and the President of Zarqa University also attended the event. The banquet included a variety of music and cultural activities by the Program’s students. On Sunday 14 April 2019, The Deputy manager of EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis “Madad”, Ms.Danielle Keulen, visited EDU SYRIA at Luminus Technical University College and opened the EDU SYRIA corner. The EDU SYRIA corner is a study area designated for the program students (almost 500) at Luminus Technical University University (LTUC) to study and gather, thus the facility is equipped with 16 laptops and a library available for all EDU SYRIA students. A Delegation from Reykjavik University in Iceland Visits GJU

On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, A delegation from the University of Reykjavik in Iceland visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) to meet EDU SYRIA Team and discuss the possible cooperation. During the meeting, the delegation listened to a presentation about EDU-SYRIA message, goal, and achievements. the delegation was also introduced to “My story” initiative, that aims to give voice to Syrian refugees and vulnerable jordanian students of the program.
