Luminus Jordan Start held an information session to introduce the Entrepreneurship Training Scholarship Program (ETSP) funded by EDU-SYRIA and its conditions on Thursday 23rd of February 2023 from 12:00 – 13:00 pm in Luminus Jordan Start campus in Irbid. Specto held the final conference of the Digital Empowerment and Entrepreneurship for Refugees (DEER) that brought together over 100 representatives of key partners, universities, NGOs, and beneficiaries on Monday 20th of February 2023. The DEER project is one of the “Bottlenecks Alleviation Program (BAP)” selected projects. The Technical Vocational Training Academy held a graduation ceremony for EDU-SYRIA beneficiaries of the Vocational Diploma in Hybrid and Electrical Cars (HE Cars) on Thursday 16th of February 2023. The HE Cars training diploma course provided the beneficiaries with the skills required to maintain Electric and Hybrid vehicles and training encompassing all aspects of working in vehicle maintenance including safety and professional development. A virtual learning portal was also developed that included all training materials and case studies to ensure the project’s sustainability. Zarqa University hosted an information session of the “Japanese Initiative for the Future of Syrian Refugees (JISR)” at the academic corner designated for EDU-SYRIA beneficiaries at Zarqa University on Thursday 26th of January 2023. A total of 50 EDU-SYRIA students attended the information session presented by Nozomi Ohashi and Rawan Salhi. EDU-SYRIA held the Ninth Consortium Management Meeting at Jordan University of Science & Technology on 26th of January 2023. The meeting was attended by EDU-SYRIA management team, the EU representative and the project partners of ZU, LTUC, QRTA and DAAD. Throughout the meeting, an update on EDU-SYRIA project was presented. Manara held an online introductory session on Wednesday 25th of January 2023 to introduce their job program’s procedures to EDU-SYRIA beneficiaries of software engineering and computer science backgrounds.
